Tumblr Tuesday1. #katiFAQ hello Kati! I have another ed appointment next week and am nervous about being weighed. When will blind weights end? I’m not allowed to see the number because it’s previously sparked a suicide attempt, but just being weighed in general makes me feel so awful. How can I better manage this worry? Xxxx
2. #katifaq- How can you tell when you are using your eating habits as a coping skill?
3. #KatiFAQ Hi Kati, Can you ever safely lose weight after having an eating disorder? I currently struggle with bulimia & am working on recovery, right now I am just under the highest weight I’ve ever been & not happy about it :/ I know I have to leave it and work on recovery, but will I be able to lose weight afterwards or will it just push me back into my ED? Thank you so much for everything you do, you’ve given me hope 🙂
Journal Topic:hey Kati,i wrote this in my journal today and i really liked it as a journal Topic. I thought about Setting myself the Goal to get off the scale for at least 3 days, then 1 week and so on. “Get Off The Scale! You are beautiful. Your beauty, just like your capacity for life, happiness, and success, is immeasurable. Day after day, countless people across the globe get on a scale in search of validation of beauty and social acceptance.Get off the scale! I have yet to see a scale that can tell you how enchanting your eyes are. I have yet to see a scale that can show you how wonderful your hair looks when the sun shines its glorious rays on it. I have yet to see a scale that can thank you for your compassion, sense of humor, and contagious smile. Get off the scale because I have yet to see one that can admire you for your perseverance when challenged in life. It’s true, the scale can only give you a numerical reflection of your relationship with gravity. That’s it. It cannot measure beauty, talent, purpose, life force, possibility, strength, or love. Don’t give the scale more power than it has earned. Take note of the number, then get off the scale and live your life. You are beautiful!” — Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being FreeMY FREE WORKBOOKS:Self-Harm Disorder Workbook
