That’s actually the exact opposite of how you LOSE WEIGHT. Avoid carbs when possible, particularly simple carbs. Carbs = calories, and if you are trying to LOSE WEIGHT you don’t need MORE CALORIES, you want to work with what you already have stored. You need get extra protein because as you lose weight you will not only be losing it from fat but also from muscle, and you need a way to rebuild what gets depleted.
