In this video, I will show you how to make a healthy carrot cake! This is the perfect homemade gift idea for your parents or your friends! I used sugar substitute (to save calories) but you can of course use regular sugar. ——————————— Sugar-Free Carrot Cake Difficulty: Easy Time: 1.5hr Number of servings: 1 loaf Necessary Equipment: 18×8cm (7x3inch) loaf pan Ingredients: 2 eggs 30g (1.0oz.) sugar substitute or 90g (3.2oz.) regular sugar 100g (3.5oz.) carrot 70g (2.5oz.) mixed dried fruit: raisins, pineapple, cranberries, orange peel (no sugar added) 40g (1.4oz.) chopped walnuts 120ml vegetable oil A * 200g (7oz.) cake flour * 1 tsp. baking powder * 2 tsp. cinnamon powder * 1 tsp. ginger powder Directions: 1. Line the loaf pan with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 170C (338F). 2. Grate the carrot with a coarse grater (or in a processor if you have). Mix A and sift them together if you have time. 3. Beat eggs in a bowl. Add sugar and mix well. 4. Mix in the grated carrot, mixed dried fruit, and chopped walnuts. 5. Add the vegetable oil and mix well. Then sift in A and fold in with a spatula. 6. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth the top. Use the spatula to cut an incision lengthwise down middle of cake to prevent unwanted cracks on the surface. Bake at 170C (338F) for 40-50 minutes. *Cover the cake with aluminum foil if it starts to brown too much. 7. Remove the cake from the pan and place it on a wire rack to cool. * When the cake is

Takoyaki is a popular Japanese dumpling made of batter, diced octopus, tenkasu (tempura scraps), beni shoga (red pickled ginger), and aonegi (green onion), topped with okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, aonori (green laver), and katsuobushi (bonito flakes). When I was small, I cooked takoyaki once a month at home. One day, my mom gave me the takoyaki pan we used at that time because we all grew up and no one cooks it at home. So, for this tutorial, I used the pan she gave me but it was so old that the batter stick to the surface and didn’t came out nicely… but anyway, I hope you get an idea!!! ——————————— Takoyaki Difficulty: Easy Time: 30min Number of servings: 40 pieces Necessary Equipment: Takoyaki pan spouted measuring cup oil brush (you can make it with paper towel, chopsticks, and rubber band) steel pick (long bamboo pick is ok) Ingredients: 200g (7oz.) takoyaki flour 2 egg 600cc water cooking oil Fillings * diced boiled octopus * chikuwa (fish cake) if you like * beni shoga (red pickled ginger) * tenkasu (tempura scraps) * aonegi (green onion) Sauce * okonomiyaki sauce * mayonnaise * katsuobushi (bonito flakes) * aonori (green laver) Directions: 1. Very Good Serving!!!!!

aznsleepydragon says:

how hot does the pan have to be? like smoking hot or just hot enough so the batter will sizzle?

Alice Rook says:

As hot as you would do a pancake basically, you want the outside to cook just enough so it can be flipped around but still liquidy enough to fill the other half when you do so.

hellojanedoe says:

I tried this today but my cake did not rise 🙁 It did at first, but after cooling it sank back down. It is not my baking soda problem because this is a new bottle. Anyone have any ideas? I followed the recipe but i wonder if its because i use a fire oven, and if the irregularities in temperature affected it? Help 🙁

hellojanedoe says:

Oops, i said baking soda before but i meant baking powder 🙂

HI (: I love your videos, but when you title something “Sugar-Free” when you in fact use a sugar-substitute as opposed to just omitting sweetener all together it is kind of misleading ;o Because in the end we still are required to use either Sugar or Artificial Sugar… No offense I’m js.. ;p

soschadao says:

we have olive oil spread (like a butter or margerine product) in America that are much healthier, we also have smart balance oil which helps to reduce bad cholesterol. but you can also use apple sauce in place of oil and it makes the cake moist and soft! I tried it and i dont need much oil in the cake and it adds the natural fruit sweetness to the cake!
